2012

I'm taking part in a swap which has to be red white and blue, and generally (I think, and hope) to reflect  our wonderful Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics....well if that isn't the idea it's too bad as I've done them and sent them off ha ha ha.
So we have the houses representing the street parties, the girl with the crown for the royalty and the rings representing the Olympics, together with ER 60 and 2012 stamped on.  The picture shows the front and back of the Fat book page.  I got the idea of the background from something in the Craft Stamper magazine...Thank goodness for that magazine for inspiration, as I was feeling quite lost as to what to do for this swap.

Birthday card and tag

A birthday card and tag using those pretty ladies once again.  I think I might have gone a bit mad with the bubble masking for the background on these, it didn't seem to look so 'full on' on the actual card and tag.

Nothing special

Nothing special here, just another card for a birthday, so not much I can say about it really but as I haven't blogged for quite a while I thought I'd pop it in.

Diarama Card

A music friend of ours will be celebrating his 80th
birthday this month.  It's always so difficult to think of something different and particularly for those awkward men!!!!! Anyway you might have seen I'd taken part in a challenge to make a Diarama card a little while ago, so thought that might be something different, although it doesn't show up too well here, again, because I've had to scan instead of photograph, I've made it in black and gold, with two die cut staffs, the smallest on the back section of the card and a larger one on the outside frame..  The real thing looks quite good, even Neil was impressed with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For a cycling neice.

My niece has the same birthday as my son, and she is an avid cyclist, on a road bike mind you.  I don't have a stamp with a road bike, but do have this 'girlie' stamp.....I just hope she likes it....nearest I could come up with!!!!!

Another month

I can't believe another month has flown by, and here we are in May now....What a dreadful month April has been, I am sure we should all be looking to build ourselves an Ark.
I have managed to spend some time making some cards in readiness for the month ahead, and have done this for my 'baby' who will be 33 this month and REALLY loves the Grand Prix so thought it quite fitting.  I found the image as a digi stamp and coloured with the good old faithful pro markers.
I've made it as an easel card, but as I can't upload pictures from my camera on my new puter I can only do it as a flat image.

March Challenge

I made this card for a recent Challenge, the idea is that every month we make a different style of card. This is called a Diarama and it certainly was a bit of a 'challenge' for me as I do tend to keep to traditional flat cards, but it's always good to learn to do different styles isn't it?

Make a Wish

This is from a set of Debbi Moore stamps I bought at the Farnborough Make it Show and have used them to make a card for my grand daughter who will be 7 soon.
I made the background paper using a selection of stamps and bits and bobs (ie. some sequin waste, some mesh and a small cap , from a bottle). There is quite a bit of glitter added too. I think she will like it and the colours too....all very important to a 7 year old!!!!
(If you click on the image it will come up in a different frame and you will be able to see it better, I'm sorry it doesn't look very good here)
I hope everyone has enjoyed their Easter weekend. We were busy with all the family here on Friday but it's been quiet otherwise, which has meant time to craft...hooray. I have some other cards to add, but need to scan them first.

Acetate card

Another card to take me from that comfortable place, an acetate card, but in the end I really enjoyed it and have made a few more since.

Elegant lady

I don't really know why I haven't blogged for so long, I have made some little packages with Easter eggs in for some elderly folk who go to a club, but I haven't managed to photo them (problems getting my camera onto my new laptop) and they are too bulky to scan, as too some other bits and bobs I've made recently. Anyway I did go to the Make it show in Farnborough earlier this year and picked up some Debbi Moore stamps...I managed to have a little play at the weekend and I'm really pleased with the result on this card....I coloured with pro markers.....I'm not sure I want to give it away now ha ha ha.
