For a cycling neice.

My niece has the same birthday as my son, and she is an avid cyclist, on a road bike mind you.  I don't have a stamp with a road bike, but do have this 'girlie' stamp.....I just hope she likes it....nearest I could come up with!!!!!

Another month

I can't believe another month has flown by, and here we are in May now....What a dreadful month April has been, I am sure we should all be looking to build ourselves an Ark.
I have managed to spend some time making some cards in readiness for the month ahead, and have done this for my 'baby' who will be 33 this month and REALLY loves the Grand Prix so thought it quite fitting.  I found the image as a digi stamp and coloured with the good old faithful pro markers.
I've made it as an easel card, but as I can't upload pictures from my camera on my new puter I can only do it as a flat image.

March Challenge

I made this card for a recent Challenge, the idea is that every month we make a different style of card. This is called a Diarama and it certainly was a bit of a 'challenge' for me as I do tend to keep to traditional flat cards, but it's always good to learn to do different styles isn't it?

Make a Wish

This is from a set of Debbi Moore stamps I bought at the Farnborough Make it Show and have used them to make a card for my grand daughter who will be 7 soon.
I made the background paper using a selection of stamps and bits and bobs (ie. some sequin waste, some mesh and a small cap , from a bottle). There is quite a bit of glitter added too. I think she will like it and the colours too....all very important to a 7 year old!!!!
(If you click on the image it will come up in a different frame and you will be able to see it better, I'm sorry it doesn't look very good here)
I hope everyone has enjoyed their Easter weekend. We were busy with all the family here on Friday but it's been quiet otherwise, which has meant time to craft...hooray. I have some other cards to add, but need to scan them first.

Acetate card

Another card to take me from that comfortable place, an acetate card, but in the end I really enjoyed it and have made a few more since.

Elegant lady

I don't really know why I haven't blogged for so long, I have made some little packages with Easter eggs in for some elderly folk who go to a club, but I haven't managed to photo them (problems getting my camera onto my new laptop) and they are too bulky to scan, as too some other bits and bobs I've made recently. Anyway I did go to the Make it show in Farnborough earlier this year and picked up some Debbi Moore stamps...I managed to have a little play at the weekend and I'm really pleased with the result on this card....I coloured with pro markers.....I'm not sure I want to give it away now ha ha ha.

Another Steam Punk challenge

I'm not too sure whether I am getting the hang of this Steam punk business, but I am taking part in a bi monthly challenge and it's good to stretch yourself out of your comfort zone sometimes isn't it?
So this is my latest offering.

Inchies cards inspired by Februrary Craft Stamper

I managed an hour in my craft room this morning, well it's my little Sunday treat to listen to the Archers on a Sunday morning, either crafting and or/ironing as as the latter is up to date the former won today!!!!!
I rather liked the fresh clean look of these inchie cards in Craft Stamper this month so decided to have a play.....they haven't scanned very well, they look much better in the 'flesh', must get my camera registered onto my laptop and photograph my work.
Hope you are all keeping warm and safe in this horrid snowy icy and cold weather...roll on spring.

Pretty in pink

I've made this card my old neighbours little girl. She was born after we moved so I don't really know her, but I always remember her birthday.
Thought the cat looked rather at home with a pink background.

Catching up

Gosh it's ages since I put anything on my blog and now it's like those buses it all comes at once!!!!.
We have had a week away, and on top of the 'retired one' being home now, plus visits to the hospital the time just seems to whizz by. Anyway I had to get down to some crafting as LOADS of birthdays etc this month, so decided to see if I could really get into this steam punk thing, and surprisingly enough my son's girlfriend recognised what the man's card was (yes steam punk!) so that inspired me. I have lots of ladies birthdays this month so thought I would make them all a notebook to match their card...it's taken quite a while to do them all, and I have to admit I've made several others too as some of them I didn't think suited these particular friends...do you ever do things like that, so it all takes soooo much longer.
